A Bit About Adelaide Airport
Adelaide Airport (IATA: ADL) is South Australia’s main airport, servicing about 7.3 million passengers (the number is derived from the year end of 2011).

This airport is based in West Beach, which is about 6 kilometres away from the city centre of Adelaide. This public airport is operated by Adelaide Airport Limited and it is a hub for Qantas and Regional Express Airlines. Adelaide Airport is first opened in 1955 and in 2005, it became a dual international-and-domestic terminal. At one time, in 2006, this airport is known to be the world’s second-best international airport and also the Capital City Airport of the year. Adelaide airport terminal is about 850 metres in length and it has the capabilities and capacities to process 3 thousand passengers per hour and handle 27 aeroplanes, including the famous double-decker, wide-body, four-engine jet airliner, Airbus A380.

You will find these airlines such as Air New Zealand, Cathay Pacific, Emirates, Jetstar Airways, Malaysia Airlines, Qantas, Qatar Airways, Singapore Airlines and Virgin Australia flying in and out via this airport. Of course, from this airport, you can reach our nearby East Coast Car Rentals depot by using our complimentary airport shuttle bus transfer service.
